Job Description
As a Hive Accountant with the support of the team you will assist in the service of our portfolio of clients. We are looking for a fully qualifed AAT accountant to join our team.

Your role will include the following:
- Processing of timely bookkeeping for clients in accordance with the clients agreed service packages;
- Preparation of sole trade/partnership/limited company accounts from computerised records through to completion, including dealing with senior review points, within agreed time budgeting timeframe;
- Preparation of corporate and personal tax returns through to completion, including dealing with senior review points, within agreed budgeted timeframe;
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts in accordance with the clients
agreed service package within agreed budgeted timeframe; - Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts in accordance with the clients agreed service package within agreed budgeted timeframe;
- Preparation of monthly payroll;
- Timely requesting of client records and delivery of information;
- Liaising with clients for queries and providing ad hoc support when necessary;
- An expectation of continual learning and personal development outside of structured
courses.
Skills
- Confident working both independently and supporting and working with the team to meet
our targets and deliver work for our clients. - Comfortable working within a progressive and changing environment, being able to manage
workflow to meet this demand. - A fine eye for detail to produce accurate and reliable information.
- A methodical and organised approach to work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, to be able to contribute in team meetings to better understand our business.
- Detailed knowledge of online bookkeeping solutions, particularly Xero.
- Excellent working knowledge of all main Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel.
- Knowledge of accountancy production software.
- Knowledge of payroll production software.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a private accountancy practice.
