People tend to be happier when things are made easier for them and that’s our mindset when we approach payroll. Paying your staff is so fundamentally important but it can be an administrative burden so how can we make the whole process as painless as possible? We have recently added two new systems to our payroll service which could help make your life that little bit easier.
BrightPay Connect – Cloud Services
Over the past six months we’ve moved our payslip delivery system over to BrightPay Connect. Not only does the system work seamlessly with our payroll software but it provides practice owners with all the payroll data at their fingertips. Employees like it too as there’s a handy app which allows them to view and download their payslips more easily and update their own personal data. Plus, the system can be used to reduce the need for email correspondence as practice owners are able to provide payslip entries directly through the secure, online portal. Modulr – Payment Services
Every month we prepare the payslips for practice owners and send them details of how much to pay the staff and how much to pay HMRC. But what if we could arrange those payments for you? Modulr is a payments account, which enables a fast, secure, and easy way to make and manage payroll payments. It works in three simple steps:
- We run payroll as normal within our payroll software and send the payment instructions directly to Modulr.
- You are notified that payments are awaiting approval and are invited to log into your Modulr portal to approve them.
- You then transfer funds from your business bank account to your Modulr account in one single transaction to cover the total of the payments due.
- On pay day, Modulr sends the payments to the staff.
The system will save you time, eliminate any issues with staff being paid the incorrect amount and, because they use the Faster Payments system, payments can be sent 24/7, 365 days a year and are settled almost instantly. It’s run on a secure, compliant network and Modulr is authorised and regulated by the FCA as an Electronic Money Institution (FRN: 900573). We’re just starting our journey with Modulr but the initial feedback from our clients is very promising.
