We have different arms of Hive Business, including marketing, consultancy and accountancy. Each is their own unique business while dovetailing seamlessly with each other to deliver the best possible service to our clients. Over the past few years, there have been lots of internal changes and amazing growth which means we’ve constantly reviewed the operations of each department.

At Hive Accountancy, we are excited to share our new internal departments which were only ever meant to be internal but make so much more sense to share with you our clients (or new clients).

The departments came about because it became clear many years ago that the traditional accountancy firm model is not sustainable, scalable or moving with the times. Our clients don’t want a meeting once a year with someone in a shiny suit who gives generic advice; but 12 months passes and nothing is acted on (if you still have this level of service with your accountant and want to join us, read this blog and get in touch).

The way businesses work together has changed over the years and we know these changes will give our clients the best service:

SUPPORT

At Hive, client communication is top priority. All the great work we do for our clients is nothing without clear and easy lines of communication. We are investing time and resources into our new support function to ensure timely responses, easier access to the right person and more ways to get in touch with us.

Our associate clients have a dedicated inbox which is monitored all day. We use WhatsApp, calls, emails, texts – and tailor our communication style to suit our clients. It’s understandable that when you’re busy running your business, you may need different reminders to catch you at a good time.

This department is where your reception team and treatment coordinator would be in your practice. The front of house, making your patients feel great about your service.

INBOUND

This department is the first stage of production for your statutory accounts and tax returns. It’s the information gathering and sorting station, which is not only essential for efficiency, but enables us to access real time financial data for if you ever need a mortgage reference, an update to your tax plan to enable a bigger purchase for example.

In short, this department is where you send all of your records and process them. I won’t bore you too much with the detail but it’s the part of the process you’ll have the most collaboration with to ensure things run smoothly and you aren’t up against a deadline trying to send us in last minute bank statements.

Think of this department as your hygiene service, keeping you smiling so if and when you need more services, we can pick up your real time data and give you accurate information.

OUTBOUND

The department is an area of the business that is more technical and covers parts of the process that ensures the documents you see are present, correct and strategically in line with your wider goals.

If the analogies have been helpful so far, this department is like your ortho/ endo/ implant specialists working alongside the rest of the team but driving the patient’s goals and treatment. They each have a specialism and we want to utilise their time adding the most value to your dental business.

We hope sharing the secret to our compliance formula gives you an insight into the ways we work at Hive Business. Our openness seeks to inform you of the different people you may interact with and why they’ve been put into place. We always welcome any feedback our clients have along the way as we continue to improve our services.
